Tom recognized the God-given rhythm and beauty in all of creation, having a spontaneously dynamic relationship to others and the natural world. To his family and friends, Tom was a beloved, humble man who came by honesty and kindness without thought. He was willing to help in any way he was needed, often bringing ingenious solutions that had been previously unseen. He delighted in cutting wood, gardening, feeding wild life, fishing and hunting. He also relished the spoken word and was a gifted story teller, his ever-present humor at times, bordering on good-natured teasing, only to be found out by the twinkle in his eyes. He brought lasting beauty to the world through his creative woodworking and fieldstone masonry. Watching Tom at work was to see him in his element, a contented man. Tom was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His pure heart remains as a gauge of integrity.
